This is somewhere I can walk to regularly with my dog and baby to have a coffee, zone out and catch up with friends. Quality food and my favorite coffee on the coast. Its now become a piece of my Burleigh lifestyle. Burleigh Social has to stay!!!
I live locally in Joan Street, recently moved from Sydney. The social allowed me to meet new friends and integrate easily to the Gold Coast, it's more than food and coffee is a social hub which brings the community together!
One of the best spots in Burleigh. How many other hundreds of cafes around the Gold Coast don't have off-street parking? Most. If it was a pre-requisite council shouldn't have issues the business license to start with instead of shifting the goal posts.
There are so many locals who walk & ride bikes there. Surely all the cars arent just for social, there is a much larger cafe at the other end of the street that holds 3 times more patrons than social. Will you be forcing them to close too?
Outstanding group of guys who have created a very special place that is everything the GC should be. Dear Council I know you can find a creative solution that says the GC is open for business, is a place where entrepreneurial, have-a-go spirit can flourish. We need More Gold Coast, not less.

The majority of patrons walk to this location. That's one of the great things about Burleigh Social. You just walk around the corner. The ruling doesn't make any sense. Amend the legislation - use common sense!
