Please reconsider this decision, we want to encourage the interests, sportsmanship and confidence of young athletes. Giving them options to find a sport that they can excel in is crucial.

Field hockey was an important part of my high school years. I was on the JV team during my sophomore year and played on the varsity team during my junior and senior year. As a RMS teacher (now retired), I observed how much field hockey meant to a lot of my students. It was something they looked forward to and were proud of. Please consider keeping this program.

My daughter played on the field hockey team her senior year. That year they won state championship against Woodstock. Those girls played with heart. Don’t take it away.
