Please don't cut these programs. These young adults need these outlets to keep them safe and learn about life skills. Sports is an outlet for so many, like music is. Keeping the students engaged keeps them off the streets, teaches them how to get along with others, in difficult situations. Lifelong learning is key to success for these students, they deserve at least that.

Please keep field hockey in Springfield Schools especially if they have enough players to play for two more years!! I have been out of school for 45 years this year and we always had great field hockey teams and they probably had many more field hockey teams before my day

I don't have a child, but I feel this needs to be addressed and the sport needs to stay. These girls need their outlet, it builds self-respect, leadership, strong relationships, and so much more. The future needs strong women, and I strongly believe that it starts with the sports they play. Keep field hockey in Springfield!!!

This AD apparently has no understanding of our schools history and traditions. The field hockey program, while struggling currently, was once a State Champion level program. Perhaps he needs to be actively recruiting kids from gym classes like Mr. Wyman used to for all sports. My sense is that the AD spends more time behind a desk than on the gym floors or athletic fields.

This is terrible and makes absolutely no sense. If enough interest and players for 2 years then you have 2 more years of students coming into the school as well.
