For anyone that is a native Midlander, you most likely know about the "Peacock House." Located in Trinity Meadows, this establishment once belonged to the Blakemore family. The land was grandfathered into the neighborhood that was built around it, and to this day is still home to more than 50 peacocks, 2 donkeys, guinea hens, 6 goats, and 20 geese. On any given day, you can find families walking the alley to get a glance at the magnificent animals that have called Trinity Meadows home for more than 100 years. Occasionally, you may even get to see one up close as they like to roam across the street from time to time.

Recently, a few newbies have moved into the neighborhood and have decided that they do not want the peacocks around anymore. Animal control has been circling the neighborhood the past week trying to capture and kill as many peacocks as they can get their hands on. This animal cruelty must be stopped! Whenever you buy a house in the neighborhood close to the "Peacock House," you signed up for an occasional peacock in your yard. They were there before you were. Trying to kill an innocent animal is not the answer---moving is.

Please sign this petition to help stop animal control from killing the peacocks.
