The Hoy family were in the Armidale district from about 1870 and for two brothers, Eric and Herbert lived here in the 1920s to 1980+. This building is certainly worthy of saving for future generations.

Armidale centre is dead. The Armidale Council isn't interested in the creative and/or the sustainable - they only watch out for families with the big money.
Save Armidale's creative scene - we are struggling!

This building could be used for so many things to attract visitor back to the Beardy Street Mall instead of windows shopping the empty store fronts!

Armidale is a very community-minded city and holds many collaborative events, arts, sport and social. The Old Courthouse is an architectural icon for our city, and the State Govt has no right to sell it off.

Adapting the Old Court House as a community arts venue is both a sensitive and appropriate use of a key historic building in Armidale and an essential element in the revitalisation of the Mall!

The old Armidale Courthouse ought to become a building used for the benefit of the whole Armidale community, it definitely should NOT be sold off to developers.
