The council confirmed today that funding for The Morven Day Centre is secured and operations will continue as normal. I am now finalizing the transition plan with local officials to ensure this budget allocation remains prioritized in future cycles.

Mental health provision in East Ayrshire is under threat with the local council threatening to remove vital funding, which would close The Morven Day Centre including many satellite groups over the area.
Please sign to indicate your displeasure at the decision and support some of the most vulnerable people in society.
This facility is the only support that is available to them and helps around 130 souls at any one time.
For over 30 years it has provided essential support to the community.

We cannot afford to stop supporting the many people that depend on the Morven Day Centre, who would otherwise become desperate and end up requiring more serious (and expensive) help (A&E, long-term suffering and disease). Don't put them through this loss, look into your heart!
It is a vital service for so many. I volunteer at connect call and several of our clients are distraught at the possibility the Morven Centre may close. It is a service which would heavily impact on users if it were to close. Please rethink!!!
The morven center suported my self, in some of the darkest years of my life. This service is a light in the lifes of the service users it been a safe place for many individuals through the years and should be supported.
This is a disgrace from east ayrshire, the sheer amount of upheaval for these poor vulnerable people of Kilmarnock and surrounding areas during the cost of living crisis should keep councelers up at night. If the finding is cut it just shows how unempathetic this council really is!
This centre is far to important to close places like this help hundreds of people through the darkest of times. They helped my son improve his life and wellbeing. Why do councils shut places like this it makes no sense. Let’s keep the morven open

Just been going for a few weeks now and it's the best place in Kilmarnock for mental health issues people can go and talk to other people's with the same problem. This is why they there should keep it open for mental health issues
