I love this venue. Everything about it is so near and dear to me. The culture, the crew that works there, the family of kids that show up on a Saturday night or any other night to hear great music; it's all so close to me as well as many MANY others. Don't do this to such a great place.

Obviously Atlanta has been working to renovate that part of town and the Masquerade does not really fit.I think rather than say don't destroy it we should offer solutions.
The Masquerade can be the center piece of this area (more than it already is.) It could be renovated to more than just a concert venue rather than tear it down to build apartments.

Been coming to the masquerade since I was in High School, both as an attendee and a performer. Words cannot describe how important this venue is to me and fellow music fans who crave the close and personal atmosphere that this wonderful place creates.

This place is an amazing venue. I've been to many different venues, and the Masquerade is the must unique, and well, my favorite. Destroying this would upset many, many people.

A trip to Atlanta is not complete unless I've gone to the Masquerade. To me it's a historic venue that should be saved at all costs.

What I can't understand is why they can't build these new apartments somewhere else? I mean the masquerade was there way before those other apartments came, which they complain if were loud past midnight on the weekends... destroying it and moving it to another area isn't gonna do or prove anything, so lets keep it there & everything will be good!

I moved out from California to Georgia about a year ago. My first show at the masq was the amitty affliction. They played with stick to your guns. I have never felt so at home with a venue like this. I declared it to be my favorite venues of all time since that day. Please don't tear down this place. My heart is already breaking as I'm pleading for this nightmare to come to an end. Don't do this...
