Seen good times and bad at that place and is an interesting hub of variety entertainment and group spot for nice get togethers. Though not always the safest place...it definitely has put on some reliable shows and independent activities while being affordable enough to party goers for a spot in the city...it may even be historic, the Masquerade has been around for decades now!? Well if it's just some good feedback than hear this and save the Masquerade if possible. Thank You.

Some of my best memories are at the Masquerade. The building and location hold immeasurable sentimental value to me and I would hate to see them go to make room for unnecessary development. Atlanta is my city and hometown, and I don't want apartments. I want the Masquerade!

While I have never personally attended The Masquerade, anyone who knows anything about the music scene in the area has heard of the venue. There are few great places left to see live music that aren't money hungry arena' and amphitheaters owned by big corporations, and closing down small, local owned venues like this only gives us less options, all while destroying so much history for the scene. Fancy new apartments can be built anywhere, and I'm sure there's no shortage of vacant buildings or lots due to the state of the economy these days. Instead of destroying a historic location for music lovers, why not choose somewhere that dosen't hold as much meaning to so many people.

The Masquerade was the site of my first concerts and almost every one I've been two since.This place holds memories I cannot even begin to explain, happy ones, sad ones and many in between. My father's company just finished rewiring the Sears building right next to the Masquerade and he came home excitedly to.tell me he coukd see it from where he was working. He knew how much it meant to me. I cannot explain how heartbroken I am with this decision and I hope te 2,309 who have xurrently signed this along with me will.make you reanalyze the value you may be recieving from the venue, the oldest venue we currently have in metro Atlanta.

This is a historic part of Atlanta that thrives as a music venue. So many small bands have been able to tour with venues such as the masquerade. Many of my favorite performances have taken place there and I would be devastated to not be able to continue watching those small bands play.
