Other accommodations should be made, such as a guardrail system around these old trees. The aesthetic value to these trees are too great for them to removed from this scenic and historic route.

the trees are not hurting anyone! leave them alone! people come here from all over for the natural beauty of theae trees. movies are made in louisiana because of the historic beautiful oaks. it is louisiana! save the oaks!

I just returned and was shocked to read about the DOT wanting to cut those oak trees on 182. I think we should fight to keep those trees. I am signing this petition and hope everyone contacts everyone they know.

Leave the trees. They not in the way of the road and if anyone hits one of those huge trees, they shouldn't be driving in the first place. They were there long before the road. Leave them be.
