I live in the area and I just can't imagine why these wonderful and majestic landmarks are even being considered for termination. The trees along 182 are just marvelous and wondrous. I know the one fell in front of the hospital, but that doesn't mean you should tear them all down.

Along with cypress trees, live oaks are virtually sacred to most folks of Acadian descent. Somebody needs to send a copy of 'Evangeline' to the DOTD!

These trees have been here for years, some of them for hundreds of years. The money they want to spend on removing these historical signs of our history and repair or replace some of these broken bridges around the state!!!
