My father my county agent of St. Mary Parish for 30-something years. He was instrumental in getting the project of the trees planted on the Adeline stretch. Please don't destroy the beautiful oaks. There has to be an alternative.

The statistics stated in the article were not good enough, in my opinion, to disrupt this deemed, "Scenic Byway." Please find an alternative! Absolutely ridiculous thoughts by DOTD!

When trees are removed, problems arise with heat on the roadway and FLOODING hazards, as there are no roots to soak up excess rainwater!

This is ridiculous - DOTD bureaucrats seem to be blindly following their noses and doing whatever seems easiest for them.
