That stretch of road is what makes the drive so beautiful. It would be a shame to cut them down.

Cutting down century old trees is not a good thing. Let's apply some common sense here please!

I pass these every time I come to and from my parents house. It would be a shame to destroy these.

Just put up a guardrail instead . . . it might be more expensive, but we get to keep the trees!!!

Why would you kill such a beautiful gift from God?

We are losing the beauty and uniqueness of Louisiana. Save the trees and focus on getting people to drive more carefully!

It is absurd to cut any tree down unless it is absoutely necessary for human betterment.

I've admired these trees when passing them as they remind me of the Louisiana of my childhood. Anyone who happens to run into one of them is probably to drunk to be drive.

I come to Louisiana to photograph these beauties. For once, consider the environment and not the economics. To destroy these trees might be good for the short term, but in the long term, Not so good. Louisiana has given up too much of it's natural beauy in exchange for a dollar bill. Please, reconsider. Please, save these trees.

The responsibility of safety should fall upon the driver, not the trees.

Live oaks are not only apart of today's Louisiana society but apart of the history of the growth of our culture.

We need the engineers and the local regional DOTD leaders to advocate for the citizens of this community and this state.
