Personally I think they should leave them alone besides they are beautiful and tear them down for what think politicians outta back the hell off destroying those trees will not impress someone

Louisiana is defined by many things, its unique culture, food and easily recognizable visual queues. To remove these trees for financial expediency is foolish and shortsighted.

Quercus virginiana are live oak trees native to South Eastern US. They have a rich history and should be preserved .
