People come to Louisiana to see the beautiful moss draped oaks. Remove them and we become like any other state...barren of such defining distinction. We see it everywhere in towns and along roadways..the rampant takedown of our ancient oaks with little regard for workaround solutions. Just cut and haul off. One day they are standing beautiful...and the next they are gone forever.

I think there is other alternatives besides destroying the trees, like relocation.

I look forward to enjoying the sights of these magnificent giants with my grandchildren. DOTD they pose no hazard. People need to slow down and enjoy the scenery! Don't do away with something people from all over the country come to see.

Leave our trees be. Who gave the DODT the right. I'd like to see Mother Nature's authorization for this autrocity. Hopefully she will rein down the wrath of God on their sorry asses.

Put up guardrails and let the trees stay. It's not the trees fault, it's careless drivers.
