In June 2014 the MSA will hold a meeting with the current Kart Comittee to discuss Regulation Changes for 2015. Along with other Proposed Regulations is the following.
(W)1.5.8.2.
Championship drivers will fully
integrate with the Club meeting and will
compete alongside the club racer. No separate
races are to be run for classes already run by
the host club.
This will clearly effect the LGM.
With over 90 entrants for the championship and over 60 attending each round so far the LGM is by far the most supported Championship in the country.
The main reason is the reduced costs which allow people like myself ( Lad and Dad) to compete in a National Championship against the best drivers in the country on a level playing field.
Kids motorsport should be equal to other sports and promote and encourage talent. Not just to reward people with bigger budgets. The LGM goes someway to achieve this.
If you believe that the MSA should embrace the LGM and NOT impose this new regulation please sign our petition.
Also if you are racing in your club chamionship and don't want LGM drivers effecting your points Please sign.

I believe the LGM Championship really supports the Grass roots Karting . Its a wonderful Championship that does not favour the big race teams. I would be very disappointed to see this change. At the moment everyone seems to win,the club with extra funds, the drivers in the Championships, the club drivers and spectators.I am not clear why the MSA want to change all this, we need an honest answer from the MSA .
