Where is the traffic calming project from 2008? That involved the felling of no trees. In the interim, in 2014, a woman driving at high speed left the road, went airborne, and crashed into my house on the corner of Forest and Brown House.

I have driven through or around this rotary since 1991 between 2 and 4 times a day on average. It's sad to see such a proposal is being seriously considered as the best way to spend a significant amount of town monies. Perhaps those who are proposing it could provide a concise description - and quantification - of the current problems as well as showing how this proposal will address those problems. After doing that, it seems prudent to allow anyone who will be impacted by the proposal to express his/her approval of disapproval. In its current state, this project appears complex and vastly oversized, which in turn gives the unfortunate impression of not serving the interests of people who live or work in the area.

When you hire a traffic engineer, his/her job is only fulfilled by proposing change, however unnecessary. This idea is beyond ridiculous. I have lived in Old Greenwich for more than 30 years, and I still cringe at the white lines blighting our streets due to traffic engineering.

While improvement to the round-about and bridge are needed, this plan seems flawed in it's large scale and impact to park lands and vegetation. What alternatives have been considered?
