Thank you so much for your offer! We recently had a meeting with Commissioner Siebert and Peter Tesei. We brought with us the Chair of RTM District 6 and another District 6 member. District 6 is totally opposed to this project as is the OG Association, the Board of Trustees of the Perrot Library, Friends of Binney Park and just about everyone in OG. At the meeting we presented our petition and voiced our strongest objections to the project. Commissioner Siebert said she would take our views into account and come back with an altered proposal at a September public meeting. I think I would like to give her that opportunity before coming on your show. Once I have all the new details, my husband and I would welcome the opportunity to speak.

Bigger is not better -- the proposed rotary would eliminate the planted buffer zone on Perrot Library grounds which serves as a natural barrier between small children and vehicular traffic. The existing island ensures slower pace of travel in the residential and park area, where many walk, and is well beyond scale required. The proposed elimination of the island by First church would make it more difficult for traffic to get onto sound beach ave -- as well as removing the mature trees and plantings.
The entire proposal is not in keeping with the small-town "Village" we all love.
There are far more suitable items for DPW funds to be put towards.
Please do NOT pursue this proposal.

Hi, an oversize rotary does not work in this residential neighborhood. I am completely against it. An alternative has to be found to alleviate prime time traffic congestion. This is not rocket science ! Please keep me updated.

Please DO NOT DO THIS. We love the way Old Greenwich is a charming, beautiful town. Every time we return from being away and go around the present rotary, we feel happy to be 'home'. Leave our lovely town the way it is and save our tax dollars for something useful. Thank you very much.

Please DO NOT DO THIS! I grew up only a short distance away on Center Drive and felt so lucky to have lived in such a beautiful village. Pleased leave it that way. Don't turn us into downtown Stamford. If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

I pass through the rotary twice a day to work in Stamford, sometime many more times a day. Everyone understands the rules. No need to waste huge amounts of taxpayer money to make it look and operate any worse. I guarantee wait times will increase. Leave it the way it is. Please. Thank you.

Please refrain from further changing the character of old Greenwich. We moved here in part because of the look and feel of the village.
As a second but no less important comment, when you try to move water from an area, it has to go somewhere. Remember, water seeks its own level. Be careful because there can be mamy uninteded consequences from something like this.

It would be in our best interest if the Town spent their time and our money, holding Stamford accountable and do something about the lake that has formed behind Westys (they are adding an addition as we speak) which is pushing more water onto Brownhouse and OGRCC parking lot and fields. That flooding needs to be addressed before any field renovations can take place. I believe the water issue is separate from traffic. What is left of our quaint village must be maintained.

I feel it would be a huge mistake to remove the island at the corner of Forest and Sound Beach as well as the removal of the trees on Sound Beach Ave. We have such a beautiful, quaint New England village that draws people to our community and to take that away would be a big mistake.
