The traffic flow is fine the way it is: Slow! We want to keep the trees, the larger front to the library, the triangle, and most of all: Our small town the way it is!

At a time when financial resources are spread as thin as they are, why waste them on this unnecessary project. Yes, there is a bit of congestion at peak commuting hours when people are driving to work in the Stamford office park, but at most other times of the day, the flow is easy enough, and actually gives drivers the opportunity. Think of the aggravation we've all had with the bridge projects in OG - and that was indeed "necessary".
Think how long the "unnecessary" project will take and what a traffic nightmare will ensue! Just say YES to the island, and NO to this project! Thank you

The corner in front of Perrot is one of the most beautiful parts of town. Moreover, it acts as a speed control point on Sound Beach Avenue. A roundabout will encourage faster, zippy traffic around our children. Finally, the intersection is a model of cooperation among the drivers in our town. Drivers show consideration for each other in using that intersection. That type of cooperation is one of the things that distinguishes our town from NY/NJ suburbs.
To put a rotary here will spoil a beautiful spot, encourage fast driving and move us closer to NY/NJ suburbs in character. Is that what we want?

Removal of this island will not improve the traffic pattern. In fact it will make the issue worse.
If you want traffic to flow - widen the area on the Binney Park side so cars may pass.
And I like the way this slows traffic down !

We live in Riverside and use this road daily. I would like to keep the village atmosphere of Old Greenwich. Keep the planted dividers!!! No good reason to reconfigure this island of green.

Bad idea! A change like this will definitely bring faster traffic, which is not what we need with kids on bikes (my kid) crossing to get to the library. Grew up in this town and have seen many changes. This would not be a good one. People need to be patient and slow down!

Many of the obvious traffic improvements have not yet been tried. First would be to change the right of way rules (to what every other roundabout has) which is that the vehicle in the circle has the right of way. Most problems I observe result from cars becoming "stuck" in the circle while cars from Sound Beach (both directions) barrel or crawl through. This one change would improve flow.

I would like to suggest that the current traffic pattern is totally adequate for current traffic conditions and does not require this drastic overhaul! We should put the money toward
enhancing the pond and landscaping of our real treasure, Binney Park!
