The only thing worse than the bad judgement calls of the people who stupidly walked up to them, is the city's decision to kill the bears! There are a million and one ways to handle this situation that doesn't include killing innocent animals in their environment. Fine these people, arrest them, relocate the bears. In Florida, if you mess with a manatee, it's a federal offense. Granted they're protected, but seriously. This is ridiculous.

People caused this, now the bears have to pay?? nonsense! They knew about this last year & chose not to do anything to protect bears & people. Move the bears!!

It's not okay to slaughter/murder/butcher innocent families. Are you saying it's okay for me to terminate my neighbors if they always have the press outside their house? I find that annoying, well let me just eliminate them, children and all! Because that's right!

as human beings, we are selfish creatures. Surrounding a family of Cubs was a stupid idea. Surrounding any type of baby animal with the mother present is a bad idea. Sometimes human moms snap at people that are too close. Don't kill a mother and her babies because of the stupid, selfish act of humans. We can coexist, some of us just have a lot more learning to do.
