Please exhaust ALL alternatives before resorting to killing five healthy animals. There must be a better way.

Why haven't all methods of helping both humans and bears coexist being exhausted? It seems time that everything has been fine but yet idiots come around and get the mama riled up its no longer fine? Also like the rest of places get bear proof trash cans and hold people accountable on their actions. Tell people don't bother the Bears because it endangers everyone including the bears. As a last ditch effort why aren't they being relocated? Until all methods are exhausted these bears do not deserve to be "euthanized". Stop the madness and save this family. Look at the bigger picture. Bears will come into your city why not be proactive about it and start now by helping them when they do! Reconsider so this family can survive

Haven't authorities learned yet that if people live in a bear area the garbage bins should be bear proof?

This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Those bears have done NOTHING WRONG and it's the people who should be punished - euthanize them. I am sick and tired of animals suffering for the stupidity of the human species.

Relocate them if you need to. But it is immoral and unethical to dispatch an entire family because of human stupidity. I'd rather see that entire town sacked. Enough with human arrogance and ignorance. Save this bear family.

we need to take care of our wild animals. not euthanise them.we destroy what is not ours to destroy:( this story sucks. we are losing 100,000 species every year and we seem to destroy more and more through sheer stupidity. i cant think of anything worse than a world without our fury friends. protectdontdestroy

Please don't kill this family of bears, there has to be another way to solve the problem! They are just hungry if these studpid people would just leave them alone & quit gawking at them. I pray this won't happen it is so senseless! Dant they be relocated to some distance place where they can live peacefully???

They should be safely moved to a location where they can live peacefully without human interaction. No animal deserves to be murdered because it was doing what it needs to survive. The bears were there before we invaded their territory. we need to respect them enough to not kill them because we as humans leave delicious garbage out where they can get it or keep foods in our homes where they can attempt to get in to eat it. Keep them alive & move them to a remote location unpopulated by people. Stand by your mission statement.
