Please I hope you will reconsider, wildlife is so important and shouldn't be disposed of. any mother who seems their child in danger or fears foe them will act as she did, whether it's a human mother or animal. please reconsider and give them a chance at life.

I have an animal welfare certificate and I believe there are other methods that can be used besides euthanized the bears. relocation with radio collars, or transfer them to a Canada rehabilitation center as there are several here willing to take in bears

This makes me extremely mad. We, humans, think that other species are ours to "take care of". If people had smartened up and given the bears some space, this wouldn't be happening.

Move the bears into the wilderness where the mother can teach her cubs to be wild. Don't destroy wildlife because people move into their territory and threaten an animal's family.

relocation to a more wild area is not out of the question - it is in fact the only humane solution to this human made problem. to refuse to relocate these bears to a more wild place is simply to take the easy way out and to once again allow people to destroy animal life from sheer stupidity. this decision is an hysterical, emotional reaction, not a logical, well considered plan. please reconsider what you are about to do - you will definitely destroy the good name of your town if you follow this course of action.

Don't punish these innocent bears because of human error. Find another way to tackle the problem that doesn't end a life.

I don't think you have tried enough to find a sanctuary for these bears. It is always easier to eliminate the problem than finding solution to it. And finding solution might take time. The locals love the bears, first of all. Secondly, if you are familiar with wildlife, you should know that wild animals do not like crowds; they want to be alone just as much as you'd want to be left alone. Maybe instead of killing them, help them leave some food out away from people to draw them out. Giving a helping hand to the bear family once in a while will not domesticate them. It will help them survive, would also help them calm down, and most likely keep them away from human camps.

You're the fish and wild game people, right? Then you should know that killing an innocent mother bear and her four cubs is a terrible decision. It's because of us humans that the mother bear huffed and frightened some onlookers. She felt threatened. Don't euthanize these innocent beings because of our (humans)bad decisions.

Why don't you just move the family into an area with less people? It's Alaska...you have plenty of room. Don't cop out and blame people, do your job and protect these bears.

please don't kill this poor family if bears! they have just as much of a right (if not more) to live and eat here. instead of putting all this effort into tracking and killing these bears, maybe you should have stepped in in the first place and protected these innocent animals from invading humans.

We have the ability to tranquilize and transplant wayward animals. Yes, they will have a difficult time in a strange area but this is a good time of year to move them and, if the spot is chosen well, they will have a better chance. Any chance is better than killing such intelligent and remarkable creatures. Don't let the fact that their species is common near you cloud your judgement into thinking that they are expendable.
