For them to use the excuse of possibly spreading disease makes no sense when they said a few days ago that it shows mom has a 300 mile area. Cannot say we don't have money when Sullivan just announced a 7,000,000 surplus, and that we are spending 200,000 to sent 9 inebriates out of state for care. Relocate and then deter, rubber bullets...whatever it takes, but this was human error and just plain stupidity on everyones part but the bears!

i have lived in the government hill area for years and not once have those bears hurt anyone. relocating them would be a way better option than killing them.

Killing these Bears is just wrong! They have done nothing that deserves being killed! Relocate them or leave them alone!

there are other means to correct this situation. Last thing we need is a trigger happy community. Alaska is all about preservation of nature and wildlife!

Problem should have been dealt with last year. They deserve a chance by being relocated far away.

every person that works for F&G needs to be fired. They need to hire people who will stand behind their mission statement and protect the wildlife. We are in Alaska, wildlife's territory. Make people pay fines and clean up the trash. Those that think they would not survive in the wild are idiots. They will survive because it's their instinct. I have raised wild turkeys from hatchlings and fed them bought feed, but as soon as they hit a year old I released them to the wild. Instinct kicked in and they didn't need me to rely on for their food. F&G are heartless a**holes that don't deserve to live in this state. SAVE THE BEARS!!!!
