Identify the media agencies and call out the photographers who caused the problem. Name them in all updates on this horrible irresponsible cowardly selfish decision.

They are animals and humans need to understand that and give them there space. They should not be uthinized due to people making the mistake of getting to close.

Let's not forget that they were here first. Leave them alone and make people dispose of garbage appropriately.

PLEASE let them be - don't kill them because of human stupidity. Plus, DFG, your track record lately sucks, so I suggest you do something to fix your reputation as an agency that should actually CARE about Fish and Game!!!

There is no reason to euthanize these animals. You are in their territory. They need to be relocated or left alone. This means alerting the public and telling them to ignore them and kept pets and garbage away from any wild life. These poor bears are watching out for themselves. We should be protecting them not going around and snapping pictures and scaring them. Makes me so upset.

There is no need to shoot the bears. Safely move them out of the area! Your mission states that you want to protect and maintain the wildlife. If this is true, why would you automatically choose to shoot them instead of bringing them back to their home? They clearly are just hungry and mean no harm. Do not shoot a mother and her children.

The Department of Fish and Game is supposed to protect the wildlife. The Bears are not the problem. The people are. Enact laws and fine those ignorant people who do not abide by them. WHY must it always be the wildlife that must pay with their lives because of the stupidity of humans?

States like WA have mandated policies that require Fish & Game to attempt relocation at least two times before engaging in any euthanizing. Many AK communities have ordinances in place to mandate bear-resistant trash cans and fine residents who are found attracting bears. Talk to your assemblymen about getting this passed in Anchorage!

This is outrageous! The exact definition of why humans are the virus of the planet. This was the fault of people and the bears are paying for it with their lives? Makes me sick :-(

This momma bear has such a beautiful family and doesn't deserve to be euthanized by the dum decisions of humanity. The bear shouldn't pay the price.

Don't be so simple minded! Trap and move the family away from "civilization". This story proves just how loose a term that word is...

Why aren't the bears moved to a different location? Of course the safty of humans come first but it just seems there should be something else that could be done and not have to kill this family!

If the residents don't have a problem with the bears (and if they did) what is the issue. "They" admit it is HUMAN STUPIDITY! Put the humans in jail and fine them, REMOVE THE HUMAN PROBLEM, not the bears just trying to survive! We can't keep killing because it's the easy way out. We just can't. The animals of the world deserve better, we were put here to help and protect them! Alaska has learned to co-exist with wild animals, that is an amazing testimony and one we should ALL try to adopt! Thank you Alaska, I stand with you, and ALL THE WILDLIFE of your beautiful state!
