This is why we can't have nice things, guys. Every single person who contributed to this should be mortified with themselves. I am continually amazed at how we prove again and again that we don't deserve this planet. Is it that hard to tranquilize them and relocate them to a deeper wilderness? Alaska certainly has the oil money to make this happen.

I lived in PA, smack in the center of Black Bear country. We had mamas and their babies all around us. But, they never harmed anyone. There's no reason this family couldn't be relocated, and get those folks their bloody TRASH CANS. This is ludicrous. Death may be the most simple decision, but it's by no means the right one.

own up to your own problem...your garbage draws bears...killing these bears will not fix that problem as more bears will come...keep cans up until garbage day or invest in better cans...stop blaming the bears for your garbage problem that draws them....SAFE THIS MAMA BEAR AND HER BEAUTIFUL FAMILY...relocate them.

This is an atrocity and a shameful act on the entire community in which these bears live if these innocent animals are executed !!!!!!!! You have got to be joking !!! Something must be done to intervene and stop this !!!
