We have been refused planning permission on our existing climbing frame that is not overlooking any neighbors, it is only overlooking the nature reserve. The design of it is in keeping with the nature reserve. We didn't even no we needed planning until we were written to.

The plastic multi-coloured affair is seen as temporary where ours is seen as permanent.

We have been advised by two tree experts that because we have put on individual posts it's not harmful to the 3 trees

We are allowed to have something as hideous as the below that would be an eye sore.

Please sign if you believe it shouldn't be taken down for the following reasons:

  • It is causing no harm to anyone
  • It does not overlook neighbors
  • It is in keeping with the nature reserve
  • It is not an eyesore (unlike its potential replacement)

The local planning office is still hiding behind ridiculous bureaucratic excuses while ignoring the clear evidence from tree experts that our climbing frame is perfectly safe. Their insistence on tearing this down while allowing plastic eyesores to remain is a complete insult to our neighborhood. We are currently scouting for legal avenues to challenge their absurd decision and we refuse to let them bully us into submission.

The local council clearly underestimated how many people find this bureaucratic overreach insulting. We have hit a level of momentum that makes it impossible for them to ignore our demand to leave this climbing frame alone.

This is ridiculous. Its a kids climbing frame not a skyscraper. Let the poor kids play.

Why is it always the fun stuff that gets planning permission denied? It looks 100x better than those plastic ones anyway.

Ridiculous. The council has nothing better to do than pick on families. The frame looks great and fits in fine.

Leave it alone. It overlooks trees not people. Get a grip council.

My kids would love something like that. Such a shame when people want to ban everything fun.
