The steps to the front door are a historic part of Penzance, as looking back at hundreds of photos of events, parades and ceremonies will show. They should not be altered.

This is because because things happening in Penzance. Are no longer controlled by a local county council. Only those that live here has any respect for Penzance. Put it back as it was.

Such a special building requires special handling. There must be another way. What is wrong with upgrading the current disabled entrance? Also I hear that there may be modern sliding doors. Surely not! And also not allowed under conservation law.

This is an absolute disgrace and sadly reflects the sorry state of beautiful cornwall today. Return our Hall to its former glory!

I have know this building all my life and it would be a shame not to see it any more. We use to use this building when i was in the school choir. This building is used alot to raise money for charity and other event. Please save our St Johns Hall

Why ruin a perfectly good building that is also grade 2 listed. If a member of the public did this to their own property they would have to take it back to its original state!
