I think this is truly disgusting! It's a listed building and our heritage! The disabled access could have been Police Station side and have some good disabled parking spaces in the bargin!! How can we stop it!!

What you're doing to the frontage of St. Johns Hall is a disgrace~people of Penzance want it reinstated!

Even accepting that the breezeblocks will be granite faced, this is terrible.

Save an iconic building from the ravages of the 21st century

i fully understand that the hall needed to be modernised . But this is an iconic building and efforts should have been made to keeps its original facade .it make far more sence to enter/exit at the rear of the building where the main car park is .

Millions of pounds spent revamping and now ruined with awful breeze blocks ' Spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar' a very apt idiom. If it has to be adapted to bring it in line and make it user friendly with suitable disabled access then for goodness sake do it sympathetically with granite !

Cornwall Council at its finest. Because having a Muppet PM to run the country isn't enough.

This is an iconic building which is being ripped to pieces. apparently we were informed this would happen but it must have been in miniscule print because I certainly did not see anything about it anywhere. SHAME on these councellors.

Stop messing with our heritage! If you can't do it in the style of the original then don't do it at all!!!

How did they get permission? Should be restored to its original design.

Amazed that anyone would attempt to do this to a listed building!
