I think it would be such a shame to loose an independent business like this, that was such character to out town.

Keep the people that matter, that share a smile and make time for you and make fantastic cakes. Not like the horrible main stream outlets you find in any high street

Lovely stall, the lady who runs it is such a lovely lady who always welcomes people with a smile. The food is out of this world.

I love this stall.
We are always buying from her.

Would prefer this anytime, better than the hundreds of Hairdressers, estate agents and charity shops....

Why anyone would
Complain is beyond me. They obviously haven't tried any of the lovely things that are sold there.

Whenever I walk past this stall I always think how lovely and traditional it is. Surely 1 complaint can't be enough to warrant its closure- especially when the council won't even advise what the complaint was about!

It's a lovely stall in a pretty road. I have a small boutique in town and I'm all for supporting independent small businesses. Let Maldon be known for its diversity and not for some minorities negativity! It takes effort and energy to sell anything in this current retail climate, so hats off to those who try!

Signed on behalf of Rubino Kitchen. We started off as a market stall in 2014 and know it's more difficult to get a good hygiene rating than having a commercial kitchen. Banks not lending money it's getting increasingly harder for small independents to get a leg on the ladder and a stall is a relatively cheaper way to enter the market and a shame it's closing after such a short time as, I assume, they are only just starting to make a profit and gaining a reputation. I can't comment on why they are no longer being allowed to trade as I have no facts but unfortunately believe it to be similar to why you no longer have ice cream vans outside schools and that a liscenced should technically never have been issued in the first place and are now covering there backs? I wish the Lady Luck and if there is anything we can do more to assist we will be only to happy to help.

Typical council, one arm issues hygiene cert and gives 5 star rating, the other says close. The fools. Listen to the residents who put you there, and help small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Loves cakes and perfect placement. Lovely lady always able to accommodate intolerances to the public members diet
