As Bridget has been trading for 18 months with the permission of Maldon District Council then the very least they should do is tell her the nature of the "complaint" so that she can address the problem. Unfortunately, this isn't the only occasion when the Council have mysteriously received a complaint without divulging the source!! I sincerely hope Bridget is allowed to resume trading again soon!!

Please do not let one small minded objection stop this novel facility . Maldon needs enterprise Surely natural justice requires that the stall holder is given details of the objection.

This is one of few last remaining oddities of Maldon that make it a vibrant and different place to live. The council should be supporting local people like this rather than opposing them whilst making it easier for big business to move in and remove any unique identity from Maldon.

Why is MDC trying to close down Bridget's stall?We need more enterprising people like Bridget in our community. It provides her with a livelihood and local people with a homemade product range which beats what's on offer in the supermarkets any day. We should be promoting such local initiatives not trying to stifle them.

Small business should be applauded and supported, not victimized! Maldon is visited for the market element and old fashioned feel and only greedy shop owners upset from the competition would object!

Utterly shocked and disappointed that anyone in their right mind, would shut this delightful stall down. If we can have a Costa coffe and a Wetherspoons, we truly have room for a small stall in a garden. Come on????!!!!!

Shouldn't the local councillors be encouraging business . If it only takes one complaint to get this senseless reaction , maybe we should complain about each of the local councillors who clearly haven't got more important things to do .
