I love driving past this little stall on my way into maldon high street. Very sweet and how enterprising! Can't be many like this around. Please keep it.

I live very close to this lady's stall and it doesn't bother me at all. In fact I am a customer. I, like many other local people, love her home made produce and to force her to close down would be ridiculous! What about all the cars parked up in various areas around Maldon with For Sale signs on them and not just the odd one - these are put there by people running businesses buying and selling cars - I think they are an eyesore and definitely not in keeping with the Maldon area!!!! You may as well say that people who have garage sales putting things out for sale in their front gardens or even on the pavement for everyone to see is not in keeping with the Maldon area!!!! ONE COMPLAINT, how pathetic - have they got nothing better to do. Life is to short to be that petty minded - whoever they are they need to GET A LIFE!!!!!

Well done Bridget. You are doing a great job. Only just discovered this place last week while visiting a friend. What a great idea. Every town needs a stall like this. Then we learn someone at the council is trying to close it !! Typical. Why don't they spend more time fixing the roads and getting rid of illegal traveller sites ? This is easier that's why. #keepbridget

Our family live in Fambridge Road and we love having Bridget there. The stand is great and provides a great community focal point. Please save Bridget's stand!

if we lose the little things in Maldon like this, we will lose our "town" and become just like any other...characterless !!! look at the house prices here ! - people WANT to be here, they want quirky !! (and healthy)

The stall looks more in keeping with the small town of Maldon than a lot of the shops on the high street,it's a very tastefull stall to look at let there be more home made products selling from independent stalls rather than the products you buy from the high end stalls which are packed with additives and preservatives which human bodies should not be eating !!!!

Absolutely ridiculous. It's small quirks like this stall that will continue to give Maldon its charm, individuality and sense of community. I can't imagine what the complaint was, but if it's the only one in 18 months then its their problem that they need to get over themselves.

I don't see any harm in this stall being there. I have bought a couple of items off her and they were lovely. Leave the poor lady alone.

The council should embrace small businesses like this !! ... Bet they will soon be on her case when she is unable to pay council tax ... Because of their stupidity.... This stall is always kept clean and tidy and very welcoming to tax paying citizens within our community and visitors through business and visitors who come to OUR town for leisure .....I'm sure will appreciate the stall owners care and commitment to the community . How dare the council act in such a careless and despicable manner !!! ... Shame on them !!!!
