We, the undersigned residents of the City of Redondo Beach, California, express our support for the dining deck program in Riviera Village. We believe that the atmosphere created by the outdoor dining deck in our beach city is an asset that adds to beach ambiance of our community. Many competing cities afford outdoor patio dining and street dining. We wholeheartedly implore our City Council to keep the dining deck program making it a permanent program, allow Rebel Republic presently to continue with its dining deck, and expand this dining deck and patio dining programs in order to enhance our village's ability to attract new diners, new money and increased prosperity for our hometown businesses.

We LOVE this deck and is a huge reason we go to Redondo. Being outside (and able to have a glass of wine - as all other Redondo places don't allow it) we live at the beach and want to be OUTSIDE!!! 3-4 parking spaces is not going to make any difference!!!!
The Dining Deck brings visitors and shoppers to the entire village. I have personally used this a few times and loved it. Go by Rebel RePUBlic on any evening and you will the deck is packed. Just imagine how successful this part of the city will be with a number of these decks bringing diners and shoppers to the area.
No better way to enjoy our weather than to sit outside and enjoy a good meal on this deck. Removing it forces me to take my business to Hermosa for a similar dining experience.
Keep the deck!!! Come on, now. Let's think forward, not backward. And let's STOP focusing on cars and the need to park smack in front of where you are going. People can and should walk a few blocks to get to their destination, especially in this climate. Every restaurant should have some outdoor space.
That deck area is amazing. That whole side of the street should have similar decks. It’s a good balance of keeping the old like many of the older residents like, while also being attractive to the younger generation. Remember we both live here and pay taxes!
Keep the deck!!! So nice to have something like that in Riviera !!

I support the deck. Many other cities, like San Francisco have them. They bring value to our community and a wonderful outdoor dining experience in a city that has some of the best weather in the world, year round.
