Let’s keep our nation’s history alive and learn from past mistakes by NOT erasing it.

Members of my family died for that war. They died for the freedom of our family, and our country's right to fight back against the tyranny of a government out of control. Their blood spilled, and their lives should be no less valuable than the people crying out to silence our history! Save the monuments !!!! The Democratic party was founded in part by wanting to keep slavery. They even today want to keep control over anything, and anyone they can use to line their own pockets. Don't give the rich puppet masters another win! Do research, and open your eyes. They are using your anger against us ALL !!!! They are increasing your hatred of people because if you're a nation devided then your all easily controlled!!!! Save the monuments, and save us all from the control they're being given on a silver platter. The south didn't create racism. The devil Dems in high places did. It's all about control. Will you give it to them? OR will you see the south for what it is.... A people who weren't afraid to fight for the freedom we were founded on. Fight TOGETHER not devided.

Removing confederate statues is pretty much the height of nonsense. To erase this part of our history makes no sense.

This is history. Don’t make it about anything else.

Cities where monuments have been removed are just as, if not more racist than before. Just because some people hate Jews say the Holocaust never happened, does not erase or change history. This is no different from the Confederate monuments coming down. What the proponents of statue removals don’t realize is they are multiplying and perpetuating American racial divide by attempting to erase a hurtful part of their history. The Native American Indian was treated much, much more horribly than African American slaves. They were locked away on a comparably small piece of land and are still enormously oppressed to this day. How many Native American Indians have become President of the US, or a Supreme Court Justice or a professional sports Billionaire? If an African American thinks it will make any other American’s life better by removing a dark part of their past, is dillusional. Is racism or racial discrimination improved by these acts. In 1973, I was not hired for a life term job because I was not a Black male or a female Black. (The hiring managers told me so) This happened at least 3 times in my career. What did I do? I just kept pressing on. I didn’t start a movement to remove MLK statues or rename the streets in every city in the USA from MLK, Jr. to Robert E Lee Boulevard. We must let history be what it was and is. All attempts to change history is not only a waste of time and money, it creates an even greater racial divide. Racism is far worse today than it was 40 years ago. How’s that working for You Monument Movers? Keep doing what you’ve always done and you will keep getting what you’ve always gotten. When the South was completely destroyed, it hurt Blacks far more than it did Whites. There were no jobs, no work in the South or the North. Northerners did not want Blacks competing for jobs any more than anywhere else in the country. I read and studied Martin Luther King, Jr’s writings and agreed then as I do now. He is a hero in my life. MLK was and still is

One of the strategies for bringing down a country is to separate it from it's past. This seems obvious what these people are trying to do.

As a person with numerous family in the south the fact is these monuments are symbols of history not racism and hate.

There appeared to be a petition on Change.org to save the monuments. Nobody could open it; however, one could open the website to do away with the monuments also on Change.org. This is typical of what is going on in America. A poll showed 60% want to save the monuments. Are we to be railroaded into removing them?

Here is a list of the groups who are destroying/removing our American historic artifacts: "Saving Southern Heritage said what they found in the study was shocking. They said it was led by “Democratic Party Members and Marxists-Socialists, part of “resistance summer” lead by the occupy movement and dominated by “social justice warriors” co-mingled with anti-fascists.”
