This is ridiculous. Every person who has monuments erected was not perfect. We learn from history, we don't erase it. Every person in the South was and is not prejudice. Only some. But we are only taught the negative things in our schools history books, rarely the positive things our country has done. We kill 1000s of babies everyday and that is supposed to be acceptable? Where is their justice? All violence against any group is WRONG. We can only overcome with love and by choice.

Removing historical monuments/statues only removes reminders of the past. The Bolsheviks tore down crosses, burnt down churches and killed priests,&destroyed other monuments, and that was a disaster. Tearing down our history won't change it, but make people more ignorant of it. This will not stop, They will find something wrong with every statue/monument until all of American is destroyed. This must be STOPPED NOW!!!

We need to preserve our history. If they knew the real truth of the Civil War. Slavery was on its way out and was not the reason for the Union to invade the south. It was all about economics and trade. Reveal the Truth!!

The Confederate monuments are a source of pride of my ancestors who fought in the War of Northern Aggression...they weren't fighting for slavery...they were fighting for our freedom.

It is history represented, not hate. I have 3 known kin that was confederate soldiers, 2 fathers side, 1 mothers side. Leave them to honor the dead and let it rest.
