This is our Heritage it has nothing to do with hate. People can make anything negative but our country is going to crap because of Dictatorship. Is My town going to allow this . I pray not

The Walton County Confederate Monument, aside from being the FIRST and OLDEST monument erected to honor the military blood lost to battle in the "seven southern states", is a historical site that has stood for nearly 150 years as a reminder of several things:
An unchangeable event in our countries small history, that cannot be changed regardless of censorship.
A reminder of the lives lost to a war we fought against ourselves.
A realisation that, for better or worse, this is where we came from.
To censor a historic landmark, that has stood unopposed for well over one-hundred years, in a knee-jerk reaction to an extremely unfortunate and tragic event is absolutely ridiculous.

I have not one racist bone in my body and I agree 100%. It isn't about race. It's about the ones who fought for the south and being southern. I wouldn't ever vote to have such a symbol taken away or down

The thought of a part of our country's history being erased because of some emotionally and mentally unstable people is absolutely mortifying. If we erase this, Are we going to erase the Treaty of Paris? Are we going to erase other flags, banners, bill of rights, constitution and amendments? NO!! Today people think they can just blame something that happened such as unstable or psychotic (whichever you tend to believe) people killing others, on a material item such as guns and flags. People fought for our country using guns, and flew that flag high and proud! Don't be insane, FLY OUR HISTORY HIGH AND PROUD, AND THINK ABOUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE HORROR IN OUR WORLD, you might be surprised to find that it's the people themselves.

This flag has nothing to do with race. It is th is that shout racism the most that keeps this type of hate alive. We honor everything else, why can we not keep the flag in order to honor those that fought for the south, black and white side beside each other?
