I am a combat wounded veteran. Removing the confederate battle flag would be no different than taking down our beloved american flag. It is a part of our heritage, a part of our country. Do NOT remove this confederate battle flag.

The confederate was not a flag a racism. It was the fourth battle flag of the south. It was not a flag that flew on the slave boats, which were from the north not the south. People need to go back to school and retake history and actually pay attention in class and learn the real meaning of the flag and the south. So sick of hearing that it was the flag that caused the boy to kill them people. It was not a flag and it was not racisim it was the devil only evil would cause something like that to happen.

Don't let political correctness destroy historical artefacts. Giving in to this "ban" is the same as giving in to the demands of terrorists!

Yankee born, southern raised!! Men fought and died defending this flag!!! It's their honor as soldiers we are protecting!! May god rest their weary souls for dying an uncanny death defending a flag that may be erased from history

We need to stand up for what's right. This flag is where we come from and I'm not going to forget it. if we get rid of this flag because of slavery the know African flags should be flown in America due to the fact that they are the one that sold them to begin with. but this flag isn't even about slavery it's about southern pride... I can't believe our country has come to this.
