Only 1% of people in the South owned slaves so 99% of those people fighting were fighting against the high taxation and unfair taxation being implemented not slavery

I'm a Pensacola, Florida resident. On June 24, 2015, Mayor Ashton Hayward censored the First Confederate Flag from our historical flags displays, without our consent. Now he intends to remove our Confederate memorial monument, without our consent. This posthumous extermination of the Confederate States of America is destructive to the United States of America.

You can never erase history. If you do not know where we have been, you won't know where you are going. This is not a racist flag nor a battle flag. It is simply a flag to represent the south. It is people in fear who are so hell bent on destruction other people deem racist. Grow a back bone and look at what you are doing to every person who loves the south.

Leave the Confederate Flag alone. It is a symbol of our Southern heritage and history that cannot be erased. And, to all the brave souls who gave their lives fighting and dying to repel the northern invaders who came to desicrate the South.
Do not fall into that category, and become a desicrator of our Southern heritage.

Erasing a part of history is what totalitarian regimes do. Like it, or not, the Confederate flag is a part of the great USA's history. It not a sign of racism or hate.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. And WE THE PEOPLE ELECT PRESIDENT TRUMP to do it.
I am looking for a few Americans to do little more than that a few minutes to look at and think of what your option on this topic about the last Confederate flag flown on public property. Take a few minutes and TRANSMIT you option and then make your own voice heard. At this time there are only 958 comments on this petition to return the Confederate flag to public property.
