I'm appalled that Kirklees have backtracked on their previous commitment to save this iconic tower without giving an explanation.

There was no need to build a new school and there's definitely no need to destroy the clock tower. As a part of heritage, history and memories for many people that have passed, it should be preserved .

This clock tower is part of our Community. I've grown up seeing it almost daily. Please do NOT take it away from us. It's our "Big Ben."
