This really is ill thought out, a disaster for the village ! Has anyone in the E.A. considered dredgeing the river instead? This would only enhance the village surely?

No more money from the EU. The bike show helps to keep the Village going with it’s generous donations. Apart from the huge fact that hundreds of people use the tow path

Such a shame if the bike show ends. We love attending with our friends, and meeting the locals, who have been very welcoming and friendly. Calstock is such a beautiful place by the river with the views of the viaduct and the hills.

The land should remain for farming or, if the cost of maintaining the bank is prohibitive, then this cost should be passed on to the local community. They should decide if it's time to abandon these fields.
