Save the Calstock fields

What a stupid idea.

This is insane, just to save money on dredging the river. No thought on the impact to the local community.

The Bike show is not only a truely fantastic family event but it also benefits the whole village by its generous donations to local run groups. Who will replace these much needed funds? Without such donations many groups would not be able to run!! Its a ridiculous idea to flood the fields when the knock on effect would pose a threat to so many peoples lifes. No No No !!!

Keep the fields.

We often visit this village in the summer when visiting my daughter this flooding would certainly spoil the river walk and lose finance to the village..

Stop this ridiculous scheme.

Please do not take away an amazing village run, family orientated event.

I am against the flooding of the field

So this scheme is proposed by a government agency, none of whom will be affected by the shemes permanent outcome. However, hundreds, neigh thousands of locals and visitors to the village will be. These “local/affected” people need to be listened to and the impact this minor action will have on the local businesses and community amenities and charities needs to be understood.

Flood the other side fields not the calstock fields the village will disappear

Rediculas idea, these fields are marked out and used regularly, raising money for the local school and other projects. Flood the other side of the river if you want.

Do not do this please

We have attended Calstick Bike Rally over many years. As well as bringing so much joy to so many people, it also creates extra, much appreciated revenue to the village primary school, rowing and football clubs, not forgetting the pubs/restaurants.

This land has great value to the people of Calstock.
