I have used the boat ramp at Pine Island Bayou since 1967. I was raised in Artesian Acres and this ramp gives access to a beautiful part of Southeast Texas most people never get to witness otherwise. Please leave (and improve) our boat ramp. Thank You.

My family utilizes this boatramp 4 to 5 x a month. Please don't take it away. We enjoy the rides the fishing and family time ... save the ramp

I just can't see the need for a access ramp here. Just what we need more road construction. I don't think you realize how many people use this boat ramp. It is easily accessible. You see many families with children fishing. If you know anything about Village Creek of Hwy 96 you should know it's hard enough to launch a kayak much less a boat. Going down Lucas means again mmaneuvering through road construction. I can't believe there is not another alternative.

I don't give a damn what bridge they build. Just build it around our boat ramp. That ramp has been there many years. Even before the bridge that is now there. Everyone around this area uses this ramp. Families and friends for miles have and still uses this ramp. You could possibly discuss moving it up stream and building us one that is worth a damn but don't take it away all together. Many memories made there. Boy that meeting is gonna be a full house.

We need to keep the boat ramp open. My family has been using that ramp for over 20 years to access the bayou. I KNOW I'M NOT A HIGHWAY ENGINEER ,BUT I'M PRETTY SURE I COULD DESIGN A ROAD SYSTEM THAT COULD HAVE THE FEEDER ROAD GOING ACROSS THE BAYOU AND RETAIN OR EVEN PUT IN A BETTER BOAT RAMP. As far as using and launch at village creek that is next to impossible to reach the bayou for the average boater. I have made the trip down village creek and came back up the bayou when the creek was about 2-3 feet higher than normal summer levels, and I have to ramp my boat over 30 logs or more that lay across the creek. And the only type of watercraft that can be launched at village creek state park is a canoe or a kayak,

why not just add lanes to the overpass instead of doing away with a favorite boat ramp.
