So important for all those Shrimpers fans old & new , whenever I take new friends , families to their first game a trip to the BB gives them a sense of how special in the clubs history it is to understand this great club

I met my wonderful husband at the blue boar In 1978. A the time it 2as a great pub with live music and a small dance floor. We went to Roots Hall on many nights out and got married in St Mary's Church opposite. So the whole area holds some lovely memories.

Historic venue that needs to be saved for the City. I’d like it to be part of the football club (after a takeover) so it’s vital role as the drinking venue of the Founding Fathers is preserved and generations of Shrimpers yet to come can enjoy a pre-match (locally brewed) bevvy before a game.

This public house has been part of my life since 1962 when I first started watching Southend United Football Club which as most people will know was founded there some 56 before I started following the team.

A popular pub and the birthplace of Southend United FC. Still used to this day by blues supporters in match days, so we’ll worth retaining as a pub and not sold off to build flats. There are already too many flats down Victoria Avenue already.

It would be sacrilege to lose the Blue Boar! Too many pubs are lost in the name of redevelopment and this one has already given it’s fair share to the fat cats.

Southend United Football Club started there. You can’t close this pub it’s an historic place for Southend.
