I picked Barony to take Arboriculture due to the reputation and more importantly, it's grounds and location. I also know for a fact, many students travelled from as far afield as Inverness and even Ireland, passing up closer colleges, to attend Barony for the same reasons. What better why to learn about Rural life than to live it!

Its important to have a rural location as a large amount of courses taught at the barony are agricultural. Having an urban location would be impractical for many of the students, and would making working with the livestock unnessesarily difficult

Agriculture & forestry students need practical experience. The industries are already saturated with people who know "the theory" but struggle to put it into practice.

This college provides an invaluable experience for those seeking a career in the land based industries. The facilities at this campus provide a varied and rich learning experience, which is transferred into skills that are used in employment. It would be a loss to the education system if this campus were to move to an urban environment. This is a rural college and should remain in its rural location.

It would be an injustice to the students of the future to rob them of the unique and valuable experience of studying at Barony Campus.

This campus is one of the best assets of Dumfriesshire. Love the open days and know many young people getting a great education.

As an ex-student would be sad to see it close. It provides a good standard of education in custom made facilities. Would be crazy to close it.
