The rural situation and needs of this region need an excellent teaching facility like The Barony College to help teach the future generations how took manage all aspects of farming, tree growth and everything else.

big shortage of forest machine operators in the industry. Only the barony doing training courses!

Unless the same practical training facilities can be guaranteed at Crichton students and the industries Barony serves will suffer.

The Barony college is a unique gem situated in it's current environment. Don't try to change that works incredibly well as it is

The barony is a first class facility which is unique in offering practical forestry courses in an area which is heavily dependant on the industry. I see no benefits of moving to the Crichton which is much further from the forest resource, not to mention the loss of the forestry technology centre built (at taxpayers expense). Further education institutions exist to train people for industry, moving a rural college into the town removes this crucial link to the environment we're expecting students to work in.

The college is already on a fantastic site and on a bus route. To move the college is just plain crazy.

Teaches young people the practical skills in situ which cannot be replicated any other way. It would be, a great loss and not do society any favours as educating in this way produces the effective contributors and responsible citizens that Scotland needs

To move this college is utter madness whoever learnt how to farm the land within a city, out of a book or within the confines of four walls... The way forward is to learn from the land.... I attended this college and many of my friends also have over the years and I am greatfull and proud of this place. Everyone knew everyone and it has a warm friendly family feel about it... Save our college in the name of future students

This college can't close and be moved it wouldn't be same animal care college without the experience you get working on farm and the joy you have being out there in the open it is just wouldn't be same making it on a rural place please think about this barony college is one the best colleges you could ask for.
