I spent the best 2 years of my life at Barony. I moved to dumfries to stay in the college when I was 16 turning 17. I grew up, gained confidence I had lacked through high school, learned a lot of life lessons, including how to do my own washing and I know I would not be the person I am today if it was not for the Barony college staff. I have a lot of amazing memories from my time at Barony and I would hope that hundreds of animal and farm lovers for years to come can have the same great experience I did.

Cannot understand why a RURAL teaching base can possibly deliver the same amount of experience in a 'town' environment - are students expected to learn it all from a book/computer and not actually physically achieve anything. Brillant for future employers, NOT.

In a rural community like Dumfries and Galloway, the barony provides training for young people looking to get work in farming and forestry, to lose it would be detrimental to keeping these jobs alive and getting the youngsters work.

The Barony College is best off were it its why change it when millions of people have walked through the doors. That road up by the hospital is too busy it will not cope with anymore traffic as it is now

Currently a student at the barony campus and unlike other colleges the barony offer's a great deal of experience with animals, engineering and forestry so the prospect of moving is a sad one as many future students will miss out on valuable experience.

The Barony College is an amazing place for all who go their to advance their education. The area is so beautiful. The various courses available I can not see being as successful if transferred to another venue. This College must be saved

This learning institution is a valuable asset in that it produces the future custodians of our natural environment. It needs to remain situated in a place where students are free to practice their crafts unabated by urban constrictions.

The Barony saved me as a very messed up boy from a hard upbringing to become a far improved man. Tony Walker was the first proper male roll model in my life to give me healthy accountability and closing it will break many hearts.

The barony it's self was one of my greatest memories and also the location as it made the experience 100 time better. As it was small and rural all staff got to know there students and all students got.to know each other which made the experience better. I have attended larger campuses like Oatridge and I never enjoyed the experience as much. I totally disagree with the barony moving so I do hope it stays where it is so the up and coming students get to enjoy the experience as much as past and present students do.

To relocate the barony would be a disastrous idea. How are young people meant to learn about engineering or forest machinery fish management from a classroom without hands on experience. The barony is situated in an ideal location for all aspects of the courses that they offer !
