I love this college and don't want it to move i love that fact that it is in the middle of nowhere it gives you the experience of being out with the animals

We cannot lose such an educational treasure..... I spent 3 years here, best 3 years of my life. It would be a great tragedy to deprive future generations of the Barony experience.

A great spot for an agriculture / animal care college, it should be improved and expanded not closed. They could make so much more of it!

How can a college teaching rural skills like farming work in an urban setting. You would take away the reality of the job for the students and take away the atmosphere created by being a rural setting.

Barony College needs to stay where it is. Councils/university's need to stop moving well established learning/ work places to be more convenient for themselves. Think about the bigger picture!

I am sad to hear of the potential closure of Barony College. I studied animal care here around 10 years ago and the facilities there were second to none! Part of my course was at Reid Kerr College in the town of Paisley and it was poor on comparison to the practical experience I gained at Barony. It's location is stunning and should be kept as it is. I have worked in my dream job with the Scottish SPCA and I would not be in this position if it wasn't for Barony.

My sone attends the college. Move it and he can't go any more. why do this - it doesn't make sense.

Currently a student at Barony and have been for nearly 2 years. The rural location helps the different courses eg agriculture get the farm for practical, animal care and vet nurses get use of the animal care centre again for practical and forestry have a lot of land to play with. All of this helps towards our studies as most learning is done practically, it's okay learning the theory of it but it never easy to do it straight away. Practice makes perfect and that's what Barony offers. Love the campus and if it was to move a lot of students and staff would be devastated.
