This is a first class institute
How can you have a agricultural college in the middle of an urban area there is nothing like a hands on training anybody can read it from a book but to actually get your hands dirty is the best way to learn any subject

To move an established provider of rural based courses, a lot which involve practical involvement into the town just shows the complete lack of joined up thinking.
The barony was better before the amalgamation anyway....suits making decisions for its future 70 miles away is a recipe to lose a college which had an enviable reputation.

Agriculture and other rural skills can only be learned properly in a rural environment. Moving the Barony College to an urban area would be disastrous.

Barony won't be the same if it gets moved to a more urban location

Barony has superb facilities .The Chrichton cannot offer anything like the facilities necessary for the courses the Barony has to offer to support Scottish rural industry's.

It's in an ideal situation already. Moving would detract from what is on offer and would be detrimental to the future of the college.

Save the Barony. Enjoy working with and visiting the College, beautiful environment that encapsulates a learner centred environment.

D&G needs this college. It is in a major agricultural area, and has a reputation second to none. It is also a major employer, and the region can't afford to hemorrhage jobs.

Moving to an urban environment flies in the face of common sense. This is a first class campus with easy access to all the necessary areas for practical learning. A similar setup in a town is simply not possible. I really hope this decision is reversed and the Barony will stay open.
