This is a Petition to Essex County Council raised by Support 4 Sight. Our charity is calling for Essex residents to sign up in support of our petition to reverse the decision to cut funding of our services to blind and partially sighted people in Essex.
Support 4 Sight is one of the largest providers of support services to people with sight loss in Essex. The charity has been advised it will not receive grant funding from Essex County Council next year and has not been advised whether it will be commissioned to deliver any services, meaning that many residents with sight loss in Essex will not be supported in their communities.
We petition Essex County Council: “To continue to financially assist Support 4 Sight through the commissioning of Support 4 Sight’s community services for blind & partially sighted people in Essex, for an additional three years to at least the same level as in 2012”.

this is absolutely disgraceful. how are these people meant to get by without this help? the council needs to rethink this mess fast.
