Help us dog owners out!! One public place to take your dog off leash for play and socialization is not enough! This trail is a crucial place for a lot of Residents of Barrie.

The city should not be neglecting their responsibility in the community, they work for the people, we pay their wages. Just get it done.

There are 2 gates into the park and you can access them from either Sunnidale Road or Coulter St. While they are doing the construction phase why not just have one access point open, to keep people away from the construction?

Closed for a year...ridiculous! A alternative solution needs to be adopted!

We need at least 1/2 the park open not far to close the whole park my dogs and 100’s of other dog owners need a place for there dogs to run off for exercise without getting fined

I'm a dog walker and I take my dogs here frequently. My brother goes almost every day with his dog. This park is essential for dog owners especially in the summer. The city should wait until winter time at least.

Barrie has been catering more and more over the years to cottagers and condo commuters. They seem to care very little about those that live AND work near the city. This is yet another local residential resource that has/will dissappear to make way for a novel useless attraction.

The south DOLRA is a huge open field with very little shade. In the peak of summer it is not the best place for dogs to play. The lack of shade is also an issue for me as I have reached an age where the heat affects me greatly. For these reasons I avoid the Bayview park for the most part.
I live quite close to this park, however, I prefer the Sunnodale location because of the trees.

I don't have my dog yet, but want to frequent this park often. Can't a temporary area be fenced off? Closing in stages is the best way to go. Dogs need a place to run and play. It's good physically and mentally.

Has anyone from the city seen the beautiful vegetation and state of the park. This excuse of a rest for that area is factually incorrect and harmful to those of us with dogs who use this area daily.

A year is too long! We have been using the off leash park for over 10 years now and it’s such a beautiful trail. Give us a temporary replacement! There are not enough leash free areas in Barrie.
Dogs deserve a beach too
Please consider closing the park in stages.
