Removing this Statue will not solve any of todays problems. It will just show if you pitch a fit about things you will get your way.

I have lived here for 21 years. I have seen that statue for many many years of my life. Salisbury is a historic town. You cannot change what our ancestors did. It needs to stay. YOU CANNOT CHANGE HISTORY

It's crazy to tear down a statue that's been there for so long and there has been no problems and no confusion over anything. Leave It Alone, I like it!

If we do this, it's only going to go from bad to worse with everyone choosing sides! That's what we've worked too long for and too hard for is to not have "sides" and just be the UNITED States of America!

Stop trying to take our heritage away. I was born and raised in Salisbury and have always been proud of my southern heritage. Leave the statue alone it has never hurt anyone. Just ask the movie producers of Sleepy Hollow who filmed there and in Wilmington NC. Get over yourselves and leave history alone. Are you going to tear down the old jail with soldiers buried beneath it? What about the old bell tower if it still exists? Salisbury was part of the confederacy, the building still stands as far as I know that was quarters there at the railroad track to guard it. Will you tear that down too???? Leave our history alone. I don't understand why everyone else is allowed to have their history but all they want to do is destroy ours!

I am just so tired of this stuff, people are going way to far. This has not been a problem for the Las 106 years. Why now? Over the last several weeks it seems as if individuals are literally trying to wipe-out or re-write history for the benefit of all. Instead of learning and understanding history. History is not meant to hurt individuals but to learn from and hope to improve from.
