They need to leave this statue alone!!!! It honors all soldiers, not just the confederate soldiers!!!! There is nothing offensive about honoring all soldiers that have fought in numerous wars defending our country and our freedom!!!!

This statue is apart of Salisbury's History. It's a memorial to those whom many of us are related too. It's an angel carrying a soldier. Where's the hate in that? I will not stand for our town to be bullied by outsiders who think their ancestors are of more value then ours.

Please leave our monument,we need to remind all of the soldiers that made it back, they were carried by a Angel . In this world today we need all the reminders we can of those who didn't make it back to there love ones. I think we need to think of "all" people's rights,not just a few!

The statue in the square in Salisbury of the angel and the solider has always brought me comfort and peace when I see it. It reminds me that God is always watching over us especially in our toughest time. Historical statues such as these are meant to give us a reminder of our past, but in the present a since to know each day we are here to make a difference, so that our future generations see the growth made and continue in that pattern. We need encouragement to grow and succeed this statue represents the struggles all people go through but reminds us that we are not alone God is with us.
